Pipe Fabrication

We take great pride in our hand built pipes. We start with a computer model of the engine followed by extensive dyno testing. The results are a set of pipes that are tailor made to each engine; from the billet aluminium precision fit flanges and the chassis fit pipes to the light weight Dmax inscribed silencers.

Engine Porting

Our engine and case porting is done with painstaking patience and care. Computer modelling ensures proper blowdown, port timing and workable port widths that will produce maximum power while maintaining reliability.

Cylinder Repair / Aluminum Welding

In some cases porting or certain engine mods may require welding. In other situations do it yourself tuners or even experienced companies may make a mistake or go too far when porting and break through to the outside of a cylinder or to the water jacket. In the past these cylinders may have been thrown away. Send them to us as we are currently restoring cylinders like this back to mostly stock appearance for individuals and aftermarket companies.

Head Modification

When building a race engine from a stocker, we machine out the combustion chamber and replace it with a replaceable custom engineered dome. This allows extensive experimentation with different combustion chambers, or to return to a pump dome, all while retaining a stock look.
We have also developed many combustion chambers that convert current race fuel only snow cross motors to pump fuel.

Crankshaft Services

• Rebuilding, Bearings, seals.
• Stroking - most cranks can be stoked to your specifications.
• Balancing - many crank use the same crank and balance factor in more than one application e.g. Polaris 440/500/600. Also consider what happens to the balance of the crank when you add the extra piston weight of a big bore kit. The resulting vibrations not only rob power, they are hard on engine components and will resonate up into your handlebars causing arm pump.
• Truing - even a new crank will vibrate excessively if it is not running true. The factory spec. for runout on a crank is usually 0.002 in. but many will come from the factory running out 0.004 in. Not a big difference but every little bit counts. We true cranks to within 0.001 in.
• Connecting rod trueness and balancing.
• Stuffing - reduces rotating resistance, increases crankcase compression.

Engine/Chassis Blueprinting

Have you ever had a stock sled that nobody could catch, or vice versa, a buddy’s sled that was stock but would routinely walk by other identical sleds. When a sled is assembled at the factory, the engine and chassis components are produced and assembled with allowable tolerances. This is done mostly to keep assembly and production costs inline. It also however produces sleds that range in performance. Blueprinting corrects these tolerances. The costs and work involved are individual to each case and are hard to estimate. But if you are spending any amount of money to go racing it only makes sense to make sure you are starting on even ground.

Carb Boring

Most carbs are bored straight or taper bored. However I prefer to bore the carb with a slight venturi in it to keep the velocity of the air stream at its maximum directly over the tube to increase throttle response. $100/carb.

Thermal Barrier Coatings

An engine cannot make more power without creating more heat. Anything that can be done to reduce the amount of combustion heat that is transferred to the surrounding engine components will increase both power and reliability. $40/piston
